Glencore publishes Cobalt Industry Responsible Assessment Framework (CIRAF) report

The Cobalt Institute’s member Glencore published a report on the Cobalt Industry Responsible Assessment Framework (CIRAF) – the first tool to articulate a joint approach for defining, managing and reporting on the responsible production of cobalt.

Glencore, as one of the world’s largest industrial producers of cobalt and a major operator in the DRC, recognises the importance of transparently communicating how we responsibly produce and source cobalt. CIRAF provides the framework to do this under a shared industry approach. CIRAF has the potential to provide a better understanding of how companies are identifying and responding to core risks.
