Dr Claire Badder
Claire’s role is to support the environmental work within the chemicals management team. She assists with the design and implementation of the cobalt environmental work programme to develop data of the environmental effects of cobalt to address global environmental regulatory concerns.
Before joining the Cobalt Institute in 2024, Claire worked as an experimental ecotoxicologist at York University and the UK Centre for Ecology and Hydrology. She holds a BSc (Hons) in Animal Biology from Nottingham Trent University and has an MRes in Animal health and welfare, also from Nottingham Trent University. She has a PhD in Ecotoxicology from Cardiff University, UK. She also has 10 years’ experience of working in pathology in the UK NHS. She is a member of the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry (SETAC).
