African Mining Indaba

Cobalt Institute will attend Mining Africa Indaba. Dinah McLeod will be speaking on the panel “Critical minerals investment in a post “tariff” world”, Susannah McLaren will speaking at the “Joined at the Source: Building Copper- Cobalt Partnerships” panel, while Marina Demidova will speak at the side event organised by SMM. This strong level of representation ensures excellent visibility for the Cobalt Institute at Mining Indaba Africa, reinforcing its leadership and engagement across key discussions on critical minerals.

Additionally, in partnership with the OECD, Responsible Business Alliance, and European Partnership for Responsible Minerals, Cobalt Institute will organise an interactive workshop “Dual‑use dilemma: Balancing reliable mineral access and ensuring responsible supply chains for green transition and strategic technologies.” Eric Kalala, CEO of Entreprise Générale du Cobalt; Ying Lu, Principal Analyst at Project Blue, as well as speakers from KoBold Metals, UN Economic Commission for Africa, and AFREWATCH, will speak.
