RBA 2025 ANNUAL CONFERENCE: OFFICIAL PARTNER SESSION

Responsible Contracts in Practice: Strengthening Cobalt Supply Chains

Navigating evolving expectations with practical tools and shared insights

Session Description

Emerging regulations — from the EU CSDDD and Batteries Regulation to U.S./EU forced-labour bans — are transforming what contracts need to deliver.

In this partner session, hosted by Cobalt Institute and the Responsible Contracting Project (RCP), participants will:

  • Be introduced to the principles of responsible contracting.
  • Hear early findings from research across the cobalt value chain.
  • Exchange good practices, identify pain points, and highlight where support is most needed.

This is not just a listening session: your input will directly shape the Cobalt Institute’s ongoing consultation and its practical recommendations for responsible contracting in cobalt value chains.
