Cobalt Institute appoints Marina Demidova as Communications Manager

Guildford, Wednesday, 17th March 2021

The Cobalt Institute has appointed Marina Demidova as its communications manager.

Marina will lead the Institute’s communication work, including global outreach on the responsible sourcing and supply of cobalt, political and corporate communications including branding, and member communications.

She joins the Cobalt Institute from Eurogas where she was a communications adviser. Marina’s appointment follows the recent hires of Caroline Braibant a Head of Scientific and Regulatory Affairs and Susannah McLaren, as Head of Responsible Sourcing and Sustainability.

President of the Cobalt Institute, Adam McCarthy, commented: “As demand for cobalt grows, the Cobalt Institute is growing along with it. We’re really delighted to be joined by Marina as we step up on our external affairs.”

Marina Demidova said: “Cobalt is an important technology enabler, especially for the green transition. It is also crucial in empowering societies across the globe, so I’m really pleased to be joining at this important moment.”
