Cobalt Institute launches Downstream Engagement Group
Cobalt Institute launches Downstream Engagement Group
Cobalt Institute – the global industry association representing cobalt producers, users, recyclers, and traders – is delighted to announce the creation of the Downstream Engagement Group (DEG). Our new platform that connects downstream users with the broader cobalt supply chain, fostering a shared understanding of industry dynamics and encouraging ongoing dialogue and collaboration.
The inaugural session of the DEG will take place on 3 July with a focus on the due diligence obligations of the upcoming EU Batteries Regulation (EUBR). This session is open to downstream companies and Cobalt Institute members affected by the EUBR. It aims to foster shared understanding across the cobalt value chain regarding interpretations, challenges, and implementation strategies related to the EUBR’s due diligence requirements (Chapter VII).
