Scientists find way to make lithium-ion batteries last longer: it requires more cobalt

American scientists from the University of Maryland, the U.S. Department of Energy’s Brookhaven National Laboratory, and the U.S. Army Research Lab think they have found a way to make lithium-ion batteries last longer by using extra cobalt. They believe they can triple the energy density of lithium-ion battery electrodes.
