The President of the Cobalt Institute opened China International Ni&Co Forum

The President of the Cobalt Institute, David Weight, opened China International Ni & Co Industry Forum 2018 with a speech on “the circular economy and the value of pursuing sustainability in the way of sourcing, designing, manufacturing, using and consuming our products”. He stressed the importance of the global shift to electric mobility, which has changed the whole dynamic of the cobalt market, and highlighted the commitment made by all industrial sectors in recent years to a more sustainable and responsible way of producing.

As a speaker in the conference, Mr. Weight presented an outline of the cobalt market focusing on the latest developments related to batteries, sustainability and responsible sourcing.

China International Ni & Co Industry Forum 2018 has taken place in Xiamen, Fujian Province, from 6-8 November.
