Blockchain technology to improve the transparency of the cobalt supply chain

The Cobalt Institute's members CMOC, Eurasian Resources Group (ERG), Glencore and Umicore are piloting ReISource, a solution to trace responsibly produced cobalt from the mine to the electric car. They joined forces to trace the cobalt they produce and use using the blockchain technology. The ReISource initiative will help increase transparency throughout the cobalt value chain and will give end users greater confidence in cobalt as a raw material.
